Summary of professional and academic experience:
Since 2016, he has been collaborating with the MITIDIERI & PARTNERS LEGAL AND TAX FIRM, with offices in Milan and Rome.
Previously, he was General Affairs Director of Fiat Auto Financial Services S.p.A. (Fiat-Credit Agricole), from 2004 to 2010; Head of the Legal Service of Finconsumo S.p.A. then Finconsumo Banca S.p.A. (San Paolo Imi S.p.A. and Santander s.a.), from 1990 to 2004; and legal services officer for the Fiat Group from 1982 to 1990.
He has accrued increasing responsibilities and experiences in leading national, and international industrial, and financial groups (Fiat, Finconsumo Banca, Santander, Fidis Retail Italia, Credit Agricole, etc.); in the activity of assistance and consultancy in the areas of legal services, recovery of credits, general secretariat, general affairs, communication, and so on.
He is responsible for projects such as transformation into a bank, the passage of status in the context of financial companies or trust companies, assessment and implementation of the II and III levels internal control system.
He has substantial experience and technical skills in training, consulting, and controls on banking-financial compliance (anti-money laundering, transparency, protection of personal data, anti-usury, the administrative liability of entities, payment systems, preparation for the profession of financial agents and credit brokers, etc.), internal controls, corporate secretarial and communication.
He is a member and president of supervisory bodies of major financial companies.
He supervises scientific activity through publications of articles, teaching at universities, trade associations, private clients, in banking, finance, and customary law.
He graduated in Law (with a grade point average of 110 with honors and dignity of the press) from the University of Turin, 1981.
He received his doctorate “in utroque iure” – Civil, commercial, consumer, customary law (he graduated “summa cum laude”, and was awarded Walther HugStiftungPreis – Swiss national prize for the best dissertation); Université Catholique, Friborg (Switzerland); 1994.
He also specialized in Civil Law, with a post-graduate specialization diploma, at the University of Bologna (1985) and in “Archival, diplomatic and paleography”, at the State Archives, Turin (1981).
He has been a corresponding member of the Académie de Saint-Anselme (Aosta) since 2000.
